Jefferson City, MO-Lincoln University will officially begin the holiday season on Friday, December 6.  Lincoln University President Dr. Kevin D. Rome, Sr. will light the campus tree at 4:30 p.m. in front of Richardson Fine Arts Center.  That evening, the Lincoln University Choirs will hold the Annual Winter Concert, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Richardson Fine Arts Center-Robert and Charlene Mitchell Auditorium.  Both events are free and open to the public.

The campus is also involved in activities to provide better holidays to the less fortunate in the community.  As in years past, members of the Lincoln University family are participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program.  Gifts will be collected through December 12.  In addition, the Office of Student Activities will hold a coat drive from December 3 through December 5.  New and gently used coats will be donated to the Salvation Army.

The Lincoln University Police Department will participate in the Annual Operation Toys Program on Saturday, December 14.  The program provides breakfast and a shopping experience for children around the community that might not otherwise have the means.  The children will be partnered with officers from area law enforcement agencies and will be provided gift cards to use on items of their choosing during a shopping spree at Walmart.
