The COVID-19 Pandemic that hit our nation in Spring 2020 has greatly affected every aspect of our daily lives. Our first priority is promoting the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. The University draws upon the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in its decision-making process. Faculty, staff, employees, students, and campus visitors voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risks of illness or injury associated with exposure to COVID-19, as well as from use of any protective equipment, including face masks, that the University may voluntarily provide.

As of March 5, 2021. Counting period began on August 24, 2020. Case reporting will be updated by 3 p.m. daily (Monday through Friday). The number of cases are based on self-reporting or notification through contact tracing from a local health authority.
- Isolation separates sick people with a contagious disease from people who are not sick.
- Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who were exposed to a contagious disease to see if they become sick.

Most LU students (approximately 2000) will be eligible for aid under the CARES Act.
