Library Course Reserve
Instructors are invited to place materials for their courses in our Reserve section at the library. Students can then access these items at the library for study. The Reserve section is a very valuable and popular resource that dramatically enhances the ability of our students to access course materials. Reserve items are stored securely behind the circulation desk, and are checked out to students typically on an hourly basis.
Instructors, we are happy to accept any type of material that you would like us to place on reserve. The most common option is a copy of the textbook that you use in your course. We can accept extra desk copies, instructors' editions, or any copy that you wish to provide.
We can also accept DVDs, CD-ROMs, printed sections or chapters of texts, and other types of materials. We can scan and digitize sections of text and provide digital access to them for students.
You retain ownership of all materials that you place on reserve, and can retrieve them whenever you desire.
When you bring your materials to be placed on reserve, please include the form with them, which will have the following information:
- Your name
- The Class Number that the item is on reserve for (e.g. PSY 101)
- The Class Title (e.g. Introduction to Psychology)
- How long you want checkout period to be (the default is 2 hours)
Note: The filled out form is required for all new reservations.
