Farm Outreach Worker Code#D4-605
This position is located in the West Central Region and in Cass and Johnson County.( Must reside in those areas as you will have to work from your home)


The Innovative Small Farmers’ Outreach Program (ISFOP) at Lincoln University is seeking a Farm Outreach Worker (FOW) or Program Assistant for Cass and Johnson County in West Central Missouri (Job Code #D4-605). The selected individual will assist area small farmers and ranchers to set goals related to agricultural production and guiding them to achieve these goals; disseminating information on whole-farm planning, best management practices, and basically all aspects of production agriculture. Develop positive working relationships with the University of Missouri Extension Regional Specialists, local officials and community leaders, Extension Councils, and various State, federal and other agencies serving the counties; participate in in-service training programs and other activities as directed by the Program Supervisor.


High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of farm or agriculture related work experience is required. The recruit should have good communication and people skills, ability to work with socially and economically disadvantaged clientele. The applicant should possess a valid driver’s license, an insured and dependable vehicle, and is willing to maintain flexible work hours. He/she should reside in the same work area and be able to work out of home. Knowledge of computer is essential, and some Spanish language skill is desirable..
