Lincoln University College of Agriculture, Environmental and Human Sciences (CAEHS) - 1890 Scholarships
This work is supported by the 1890 Agricultural Scholars Program 2020-38430-31309 from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
Entering freshmen for the Fall of 2020 must meet the following criteria to receive the 1890 Scholarships provided by the LU College of Agriculture, Environmental and Human Sciences (CAEHS):
- Must be a citizen or national of the United States
- Must have been accepted for admission to Lincoln University of Missouri for full-time enrollment for the Fall of 2020 and be enrolled not later than one year after date of acceptance
- Must select a major course of study within CAEHS, or related discipline
- Intend to pursue a career in the food and agricultural sciences; including agribusiness or financial management
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 at the time of application and must maintain a GPA of 3.0 each semester enrolled and through the time in the program
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a program of study within CAEHS to be eligible for 1890 support.
- Must reside in LU housing
Lincoln University CAEHS will require the following supporting documents for high school applicants:
- Privacy Act Advisory Statement and Release Form
- Completion of the 2020-2021 FAFSA
- Biographical Questionnaire
- Letter of recommendation from High School Counselor
- A current resume
- Provide a 500-800 word essay describing interest in CAEHS and intention to pursue a career in the food or agricultural sciences or related field
- Current and most recent official transcript with the school's seal and/or signature of authorized school official
- Signed and dated application (with signature of parent or guardian is applicant is under 18 years old)
Lincoln University CAEHS will require the following supporting documents for College/Transfer applicants:
- Privacy Act Advisory Statement and Release Form
- Completion of the 2020-2021 FAFSA
- Biographical Questionnaire
- A current resume
- Current and most recent official transcript with the institution's seal and or signature of authorized college or university official
- Provide a 500-800 word essay describing interest in CAEHS and intention to pursue a career in the food or agricultural sciences or related field
- Two letters of recommendation (one from either the Department Head or Dean, and the other from a faculty member; and
- Signed and dated application (with signature of parent or guardian is applicant is under 18 years old)
- Identification of all members of the scholarships selection committee (if known at the time of the application)
