**** Learning in Retirement is offering 2 short one day courses this spring of 2013. ****
 
They concern keeping ourselves and our assets safe and not being a victim.
 
April 11, from l:30 to 3:30 pm at the South Campus of Lincoln University we will have a class on two topics.   First we shall have MOSAFE, a program regarding Adult Financial Exploitation with Marta Fontaine from the Missouri Department of Senior Services. Then Bill Farr from Cole County Emergency Management will visit with us to discuss how to be prepared for emergencies and what to do in case of one. There is no charge for this course but you need to call the office, 681-6152 to make a reservation so that we are sure to have enough space for everyone
 
May 7, from 9 a.m. to l p.m. we shall have the AARP course in safe driving, also at the South Campus of Lincoln .We all learned to drive so long ago and cars have changed, laws have changed and our health has changed. This a refresher course in how to keep ourselves and our passengers safe. There is a $12.00 charge for this course. To register, send your check for $12.00 made out to AARP to the Office of Learning In Retirement by May 2. That address is                 Learning in Retirement

The South Campus of Lincoln is located on Leslie Blvd (on the south (hill) side of the boulevard) at its intersection with Chestnut Street.

       the Lincoln University Toastmasters which meets from
           12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM each Wednesday in Room 206
of the Student Union on Lincoln's Campus.

Notes
 
              Membership dues are due in January and are for a full year.
              The Membership Application in the summer newsletter is for
              new members joining for half a year for $25.00.  If a member
              paid in January, dues are not due until January, 2013.
